Cleanup and Reset Options
Cleanup and Reset Options
Looking for a fresh start, or want to help tidy up the server? This page covers BadWolfMC's available reset options for players, as well as our Spring Cleaning cleanup project. Like our Resource Worlds, we offer these options to preserve our main worlds as long as possible to prevent a global reset.
Individual Reset Options
Feeling like you've done it all? Sometimes the best way to shake things up is to start fresh.
BadWolfMC offers three optional ways to reset your own progress and begin a new adventure:
Thorough Throwback (Total Reset)
A full reset for players who want the complete starting-over experience.
This option wipes:
- Inventory and items
- Balances
- Homes
- Residences
Please note: this also includes soulbound items unless you specifically request that they be excluded. |
Soft Shift (Soft Reset)
A lighter reset for players who want a fresh start without losing everything.
This option keeps your inventory, but resets:
- Balances
- Homes
- Residences
Custom Cleanse (Custom Reset)
A flexible option for players who want more control.
With a Custom Cleanse, you decide what should and should not be reset. This is a good option if you have a specific plan in mind.
How to Request a Reset
If you are interested in any of these reset options, create a ticket in-game or reach out to Cesar or merc and let them know which reset you would like.
Important: These resets are individual only, not global, and entirely optional. |
Spring Cleaning
BadWolfMC's Spring Cleaning is an ongoing effort to clean up very old, abandoned, and extremely basic starter hidey-holes around the server. The goal is to help freshen things up, make room for new features and new players, and improve the overall world over time.
Players can also help with this project by reporting qualifying locations.
What We Are Looking For
Spring Cleaning is aimed at:
- Very early "hidey holes".
- Incomplete or empty starter bases.
As a general guide:
- Very early hidey holes should usually have an owner offline for around 3 to 6 months.
- Incomplete or empty starter bases should usually have an owner offline for around 6 to 12 months.
We strongly prefer that players use the Alpha Map to identify possible cleanup candidates rather than flying around or teleporting to random players' bases.
The goal is to report obvious abandoned starter spots, not active or developed homes.
Reporting a Cleanup Candidate
To submit a cleanup report in-game, use the /cleanup command.
This will open the cleanup dialog and automatically attach your name to the report.
Please include:
- Coordinates (required)
- Residence name (if applicable)
- Owner name (if determinable)
- Owner last seen (using
/seen)
What Happens After You Submit
Submitting a report also creates a ticket in your name where you can track the progress of your report.
Reports may be:
- Accepted for further review
- Closed due to incomplete information
- Closed because the location is not a good cleanup candidate
If a report results in a cleanup, the reporting player will receive 2 Loyalty Points per cleanup.
Please note that rewards are paid out in batches after approved cleanups and regens are completed, not immediately upon submission.
